Trust, Lean, Know

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

Sometimes I just make life harder than it needs to be.

I am one of those people who re-plays things over and over in my mind wondering what was meant, or what I should have done differently. It makes life harder than it needs to be.

Have you ever rehearsed in your mind a conversation that you’re going into?

I’ll say this… Then she’ll say that…

The trouble is, the other person never got the script. After the first line or two, the whole conversation goes off the rails. It just makes life harder than it needs to be.

Instead, what if we could just rest in the present moment, trusting God with what will be said and done, and the direction to take?

I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him. Philippians 3:10
