“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1:5
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be in the book of Jeremiah and as the book begins we find that God calls Jeremiah to be a prophet.
Now, as we read those words, it can be easy to dismiss them and think they only applied to Jeremiah. I mean after all, you may be saying, “I’m not called to be a prophet like Jeremiah.” And you’d be right.
But it would be a mistake to think that God has not given you a specific calling for your life.
Now, you may still be hesitant to believe that, so we are going to look at the call of Jeremiah (and his reluctance) to be a prophet and how his story applies to you and the specific call that God has for your life.
