One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said, “Lord, teach us to pray…”

He said, “When you pray, pray like this…” (Luke 11:1-2)

Two things to become the person God has in mind; you’ve got to hear from God (Bible), and let God hear from you (prayer).

For the last year we’ve been reading through the Bible, start to finish. As we start 2023, I want to turn up the heat on prayer.

‘Teach us to pray’ is a great request. It doesn’t come naturally. Doesn’t just happen. You develop and grow in ‘conversational intimacy’ with God as you simply DO IT.

For the next several weeks we are going to worship, practice and grow in prayer.

I LOVE Being Your Pastor!

NOTE: New Year’s Day Services will be at 9:30 and 11. No Kid’s programming or adult Sunday School. We’ll worship together as one big family in both services.

SPECIAL NOTE: Saturday Night, New Year’s Eve, Brice and I will be hosting a time of prayer from 10:30 to Midnight. We just want to welcome the new year in the presence of God. You’re welcome to join us in the sanctuary. We’d love to pray with you.
